What is a tag?
A tag is a word or phrase that has been ‘attached’ to items on a website or webpage. Tags are created to help people and computers (like search engines) to find and navigate large amounts of content more easily.
What is a tag cloud?
A tag cloud is a visual navigation tool which displays tags or keywords in a ‘tag cloud’. Click on a word or phrase (tag) in the cloud to display any content which features that tag, from within this website.
Larger tags denote a tag which has been used more frequently, whereas smaller tags suggest less items have been ‘tagged’ with that word or phrase.
Where do tags come from?
Tags are often assigned to content automatically by ‘smart’ website software, as is the case here on the Aero Society Channel.
